We are committed to ensure our soy is deforestation and conversion free (DCF) as soon as possible but no later than 2025. Our cut-off date for deforestation and conversion is January 2020, or earlier if an existing cut-off date is already in place. For this we require traceability evidence from our suppliers, such as the use of certification standards or equivalent. This commitment is embedded within our food policy. We help drive the transition to DCF supply chains by supporting the Cerrado Manifesto since 2017 and by joining the Roundtable on Responsible Soy. Since 2021, we signed and became an active member of the UK Soy Manifesto alongside our major suppliers. By end of 2022, we will fully move beyond certified soy credits and work with a mass-balance chain of custody for the supply of our needs. While credits provide immediate support to farmers in producer countries, a mass-balance scheme provides a greater physical connection to the soy present within our supply chain.
